I founded Hillcrest Strategies after more than a decade working inside progressive organizations managing finances, running operations, and helping teams grow. As Associate Director at Workers Defense Project, I grew a small Austin-based team into a statewide powerhouse engaging tens of thousands of Texans. At the Funders Committee for Civic Participation, I helped drive a 50% increase in membership.

As the years passed, I kept noticing the same patterns - many folks are uncomfortable talking about money and what it means to our movement, operations and administrative processes are murky, and organizations want their internal systems to align with their values but aren't sure how to get there.

I started Hillcrest Strategies to help change that.
