Marlon Weems is an independent consultant focused on fintech and its disruptive impact on the capital markets. He has been featured in financial media publications in the US and abroad. He is the author of a number of articles and research including, “Competitive Adaptability in an Opaque Market”, “Robo-Advisors vs. Traditional Advisors: The Battle for the Hearts and Minds of Investors”, “The Transformative OMS: From Tickets & Timestamps to Today’s Technologies”, and “Electronic Trading Outlook for Brazil: Trading Faster, Trading Smarter”.
Marlon is also an active volunteer. He serves on the board of InnovateNC for the Wilmington, North Carolina region, as a community advisory board member for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) Center for Marine Science, and as a member of the Cameron Executive Network, where he mentors students in UNCW’s Cameron School of Business.
